Beginner Wheel Workshop

Class Overview:

This class is suited to anyone interested in trying the pottery wheel for the first time.

Have you ever wanted to feel what it’s like to be on a pottery wheel? Perhaps you are interested in joining a term class but want to see if you like it before making the commitment? Then this class is for you. Bring a friend or come on your own to experience the joy of being on the wheel, learning to create and have some FUN!

At the end of class students may select 2 items each for their home. Work will be glazed in a colour of choice and fired (this process takes 3-4 weeks).

Includes:

• Clay, tools and glazes
• Firing of 2 pieces (additional pieces can be kept for $15 per item, payable on the day)

Duration:

2 hours.

Experience:

No experience required.

Bring:

An old shirt/apron and a large towel

Children:

Yes – over the age of 10 years (if accompanied by an adult)

Wear:

Clothes that can get dirty – this class is hands on. Closed shoes are essential

Collection of work:

Students will be emailed when their work is ready for collection (all work must be collected within 2 weeks of being notified).
