Sarah will demonstrate how she uses sodium silicate to create beautifully cracked, organic vessels.

What you’ll do:

Experiment with a range of texture techniques and mark-making tools
Create forms on the wheel to explore surface possibilities
Learn Sarah’s approach to sodium silicate and its distinctive crackled effects
Use the wheel to throw and alter forms, using textured ribs
Shape, stretch, and manipulate vessels to enhance texture and movement
You will leave with new skills, fresh ideas, and one-of-a-kind textured forms shaped through movement and exploration.

Experience: This is for students with some clay experience who are ready to experiment, take risks, and expand their surface techniques.
